As 4K/8K UHD technology becomes a pivotal development direction in the global broadcast industry, we are experiencing a significant upgrade wave. Capitalizing on this trend, Konvision has successfully won multiple UHD channel construction projects with leading broadcasters.
Leveraging its technical expertise, Konvision has won the UHD TV production OB van project for Al Kass Sports Channel, Qatar Media Corporation (QMC), Qatar's national broadcaster. A total of 130 units of 4K monitors will be delivered in two batches, deployed across multiple 4K UHD OB trucks – advancing prosperity along the Belt and Road initiative.
Qatar Media Corporation (QMC), Qatar's official public service broadcaster, is committed to deliver diversified media services. The end-user for this project is AlKass Sports Channel, a QMC subsidiary specializing in comprehensive sports event coverage with extensive local and international event rights, making it a cornerstone of Qatar's sports media landscape.
The adopted monitor lineup comprises 55-inch, 24-inch and 18.4-inch 4K HDR monitors (models KUM-5510H, KUM-2410H and KUM-1810D). All units integrate a 12-bit video signal processing, delivering UHD resolution with wide color gamut, HDR including HLG&PQ, high-precision and ultra-low-latency display performance. Each monitor is further equipped with professional tools including 4K HDR to HD SDR down-conversion, HDR area and pixel measure.
